The symbolism of bees in general, and from time immemorial, is related to a job well done, to the order and primacy of the organization. It is one of the animals with the most symbolic wealth and, in many places, it is associated with neatness.
For the Greek people it was the symbol of obedience and industry. It was frequently related to the non-somatic aspect of creatures and, in this sense, Platonism, in its defense of the reincarnation theory, maintained the thesis of the supremacy of the bee over other animals, when transmigrating the soul.
